When? March 27, 2026, 6:00 PM
Where? Sala Słoneczna, Al. Mamuszki 14, Sopot
Program:
- F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy – String Symphony No. 1 in C major, MWV N 1
- F. Chopin – Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21
- K. Penderecki – Sinfonietta No. 1 for string orchestra
One of these events is an evening concert in Sopot prepared by the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot, which once again takes part in the festival. The program is built on clear contrasts, moving from classical clarity to stronger expression, with Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor at its very center.
The solo part will be performed by Hyuk Lee, a pianist of the younger generation, Grand Prix winner of the Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris and a finalist of the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He has performed in major concert halls across Europe and Asia, and his interpretations are praised for their clarity, musical maturity, and natural sense of style—especially in the Chopin repertoire.
Works by Mendelssohn and Penderecki complete the program, creating a cohesive whole best experienced live.
Holders of the Sopot Card are eligible for a special discount.
